If you are a parent, guardian or a student looking to participate for SPLASH, this is the right page for you! We’re glad you have decided to join us - below is some important information.

When: April 20th, Saturday, 2019

Where: Math Sciences Building, UCLA

Cost: Free (Lunch is also provided free of charge)

Online Registration Deadline: Thursday, April 18th

Note: If you have missed the deadline, you can still show up on the day itself and attend classes provided you bring the waiver forms below, signed by a parent or legal guardian. However, there will be some extra processing time before you can go to your classes!

Introduction:

All high school students or home school students between the grades of 9 - 12 can join us! Our goal in Splash is to cultivate a love for learning by providing students with a range of diverse classes, from origami and quantum physics, to yoga and American politics. We strongly encourage you to sign up for subjects or classes you may be interested in, but never had a chance to explore until now. This will be a great chance for you to learn from our Bruin community.

Registering as a student for SPLASH:

STEP 1: Before you proceed, be sure to create an account on our website.

STEP 2: For your safety and ours, we require participants to fill out these two waiver forms in advance. Be sure to print them out and bring them with you on the day of the event itself.Students without a waiver form signed by a parent/legal guardian are not allowed to participate

STEP 3: Once you're ready, go ahead and register for classes ! Registration allows us to reserve a spot for your desired classes.

STEP 4: Come to UCLA on April 20th and join us for Splash!

For Guardians - Group Sign Up:

If you are a school or program administrator that will be bringing a group of more than 20 students, please contact us at splasheventatucla@gmail.com so we can expedite the registration process for your students.

The day of the event:

The event is being held in UCLA's beautiful campus. Classes are primarily held in the Mathematical Sciences Building with the exception of the Music class. Volunteers will guide students to and from those venues. Parents and students are encouraged to park in Parking Structure 2, which is the lot closest to where the event is being held.

Below is a schedule for Splash 2019.

8 AM ~ 4 PM:

Check in and pick up schedule of classes.

12AM ~ 1 PM

Lunch period. Lunch will be provided.

9AM ~ 5PM

Classes (each class will be from one to three hours). Volunteers will be available to help guide students to classes. A “hang out area” will be provided for students who are in between classes.
