Brief Biographical Sketch:
As a first year computer science student, Benson has a passion for technology and engineering (specifically fields such as cybersecurity and machine learning). He often teaches students of all levels at ACM @ UCLA, the largest computer-science organization at UCLA, as a Cyber Officer. He also enjoys competing in collegiate mock trial for the UCLA Mock Trial Team and playing chess as a member of the UCLA Chess Club. In his spare time, you may catch Benson watching baseball or anime! Join us for a brief introductory exploration of one of the world’s most influential operating systems which influences everyone’s lives! From hackers trying to break into some of the world’s most secure computer systems to Amazon Web Services hosting Netflix! By the end of this quick class, you will not only be able to brag to all of your friends about knowing what Linux is but also be able to use it as well! All levels of experience with computer science are welcome! There will be tons of fun games
